In addition to real estate, I enjoy writing. My current creative project includes writing and illustrating a children's book about the importance of "home, family and friends"…based on a true story soon to be published. The recent economic downturn took many families on unexpected journeys…some pleasant and some more challenging. This particular story is a timely piece utilizing my real estate experience to write about a family that lost their home…and then found a new home…a happy ending! The story is told through the eyes and heart of a child and expresses the importance of "home, family and friends". I hope my insight and sensitivity in my business and my writing will help people through whatever they face in their lives. Accomplishments & Awards: A 25 year career in the Medical/Pharmaceutical Industry as a Creative Director – Medical Illustrator/Designer; Medical Science Liaison/Certified Medical Assistant has been a source of pride for me. My work has improved quality of life for patients worldwide. My designs and illustrations of Medical Education Programs communicated the features and benefits of innovative new medications – thus enabling healthcare professionals to treat patients with new drugs that provided healing and maintained standards of excellence. I have been the recipient of 5 awards for excellence as well as top sales achievements. My Volunteer Work: Advisory Board Member – AmeriCares Free Clinics where I also helped provide medication and supplies [via my Pharmaceutical Industry connections] that were airlifted to hospitals and orphanages in South America. My volunteer work also encompasses Design; Medical Design and Biomedical Design for: The Muscular Dystrophy Association; The American Cancer Association; AmeriCares Free Clinics; St Vincent's Maternity Education Department; A Algorithm for the Treatment of Pediatric Eczema; The Darien Nature Center…just to name a few.
