Jane Parker

1981- Windsurfing brought Jane to the Gorge and she fell in love with the people and the place. In 1990, she retired from teaching school in Vancouver, Canada and moved to Hood River. Soon, Jane owned, operated a successful windsurfing school, and became Fitness Director of the Hood River Sports Club.

REAL ESTATE in Hood River was happening so...

Jane jumped into the market, purchasing a cozy starter home. Earlier, she had been "smitten" with a charming old farmhouse, a real fixer upper, and in 1992 it was mine! The rebuilding process from bare exterior framework was a challenge, but the end result of a total remodel was my dream, with lots of pine, old wood floors, an open floor plan, and a spectacular view of Mt. Adams and the Columbia River, my playground. This firsthand adventure left me with a thorough working knowledge of the building process and home evaluation. Jane's sweetheart is a master craftsman and he taught her many valuable lessons in construction: she was a hands-on laborer!

Jane soon found she was actively studying the Real Estate market... the light came on. She realized that a change in career was in order. Jane entered the real estate business as a Professional Sales Associate, licensed in Oregon and Washington, with Don Nunamaker, Realtors, in Hood River. She loves challenges, teaching and collaborating with people, and Real Estate is the perfect avenue down which to channel my education, training, and extra energy! From 1997 through????? She has been proud to earn TOP AGENT in our company!

Jane is now entering my 27th year and yes, she is still loving Real Estate and the changes in the business are amazing with the advances in technology, BUT the people are the same. Many of her clients have become lifelong friends!

My newest recreational pursuits, both of which she is totally enthralled, include wing boarding and mountain biking.... Jane has replaced her trail running passion with mountain biking due to "old joint issues!" and though not the same, all wholesome fun! Yes, she still kiteboards and windsurf!
