I grew up on a small farm in Birchwood, Tennessee, where my mom and dad worked tirelessly to instill in me a strong work ethic, a solid spiritual foundation, and a deep love for Christ. As the son of a Church of God pastor, I learned early in life that “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Those simple but powerful lessons from humble beginnings shaped the man I am today and set the course for my future success. I graduated with honors from Chattanooga Central High School and continued on to Middle Tennessee State University, where I earned a B.S. in Education. After college, I began a 16-year career as a public school teacher in Wilson County. During that time, I also had the privilege of coaching middle school basketball for eight years. I was blessed to lead an exceptional group of young athletes who appeared in five State Championship Finals and ultimately won three State Championships. Those years reinforced my belief in leadership, perseverance, and investing in people. I am beyond grateful to be married to the most beautiful and amazing woman in the world. Shannon and I are celebrating 23 wonderful years together, and she has been my greatest encourager—pushing me to dream bigger, work harder, and embrace every opportunity God has placed before me. Her determination could motivate anyone! Together, we have been blessed with two incredible children, Maleah and Finley, who inspire us daily with their musical talents and their passionate love for Jesus. As a family, we are faithful, active members of our church home at North Cleveland Church of God. Alongside my career in education, I cultivated a deep understanding of the construction industry—skills first taught by my father and later strengthened during four years apprenticing under plumbers, electricians, and carpenters at the MTSU Housing Maintenance Department. Those experiences ultimately led me to become a licensed contractor. Shannon and I went on to flip approximately 20 homes in Nashville, gaining firsthand insight into design, renovation, market value, and the many moving parts of real estate. We also launched a business together and grew it from our home into a newly constructed facility that housed our expanding operations. When we eventually sold the company, the experience taught me invaluable lessons about entrepreneurship, customer service, and the importance of building something that lasts. After moving back home to the Cleveland, Tennessee area to raise our children close to family—surrounded by the same environment that shaped my own success—I felt God calling me to close the chapter on my teaching career. Through prayer and reflection, I knew it was time to follow the passion that had tugged at my heart for years. In July 2016, I became a licensed REALTOR®, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. God’s favor has been unmistakable. My business has grown exponentially, and I’ve been honored to earn recognition as a Top Overall Producer, Top Listing Agent, and Platinum Multi-Million Dollar Producer for RE/MAX Experience. More importantly, I’ve had the privilege of serving countless clients during one of the most meaningful journeys of their lives—finding or selling a place to call home. My background in construction, business ownership, teaching, coaching, and personal real estate investment gives me a unique, well-rounded perspective. I’ve been both the buyer and the seller many times over. I understand the emotions, the stress, the excitement, and the challenges that come with each step of the process. T
