About Jay
Whether you are a first-time homebuyer just learning the ropes, or a seasoned buyer, seller, or investor who wants the bottom-line facts, Jay Nemitz provides each client with tailored guidance and attention that suits their unique needs.
Jay’s lifelong passion for real estate evolved from his roots, with his great grandfather, a home builder in Seattle. His deep interest in the field was further inspired by his parents’ example as owners of investment properties and small project developers. Jay himself grew to not only become a real estate investor; he entered the field professionally to continue the legacy. In 2003, he joined forces at Windermere with his mother and mentor, Marsha Nemitz, a successful agent of more than two decades.
His own experience as a seasoned agent, complemented by generations of collective family expertise, has made the Nemitz name extremely well respected in the Seattle real estate industry. Jay serves clients with the utmost integrity and dedication, drawing upon the full-service coverage afforded by his partnership with Marsha to ensure prompt response to all your questions and concerns. Clients enjoy a unique approach fueled by the different experiences, resources, and perspectives of a dynamic multi-generational team – one that excels in marketing, negotiating, customer service, and market-ready home preparation.
Seattle born and raised, Jay attended View Ridge Elementary, Eckstein Middle School and Roosevelt High School. Jay boasts personal experience and knowledge of many of Seattle’s neighborhoods having lived in a variety of different neighborhoods, including Queen Anne, Green Lake, Eastlake/Portage Bay, Bryant, and View Ridge. After graduating with a BA in English from Santa Clara University (including a semester in Rome, Italy through Loyola University of Chicago), he worked in youth sports programs marketing and management. Jay then earned his master’s in teaching from Seattle University and taught high school special education. He spends his spare time managing his personal investment properties, coaching basketball at the junior college level, enjoying live music, and weathering the difficulties of Seattle’s local sports teams.
