Jeanne Wald

Jeanne is a North Dakota native who grew up in a small town helping on her father’s farm. After school, she went to the west coast and lived in Portland, OR for 15 years. She enjoyed a career in the hospitality industry, working in customer service. It is in Oregon where she discovered her true passion of hiking and backpacking. Spending every free moment in the backcountry, she can boast an average of hiking 600 miles a year. In 2014 she met her husband Michael (a North Dakota native as well) and his son Micah. She moved back to North Dakota 3 years ago and stayed home to raise their daughter, Opal. She also took over as caretaker of her parents, assisting her dad with his Bison ranch. Jeanne and Michael wanted to create a life they didn’t need a vacation from, and they knew they wanted to raise their children similar to where they grew up, just with a mountain view and small town values. They fell in love with Darby and their 1896 farmhouse. They are in the process of restoration as well as small remodel projects. They are both excited to become active members of the community. It has been Jeanne’s lifelong dream job to sell real estate and is definitely a people person.
