I asked Jeff Kakos to be my buyer's agent when I decided to move across the state to the Port Huron area in 2023. He helped me find the perfect home, and I couldn't be happier. During the search, he kept me in the loop about new listings that met my criteria, via text or with a quick phone call. He communicates well and knows a lot about the different neighborhoods in the area. When the right property finally came along with everything I was looking for, I was eager to make an offer as soon as possible, and he was able to do that on the spot with his laptop. Wow! WHAT A PRO! Unfortunately my mother has been in assisted living and we decided it was time to sell her condo on the St. Clair River. I live over 600 miles out of the area and inquired locally as to whom might be able to help us with evaluating my mothers condo. Jeff was referred to me by a trusted person who worked for a local title company in the area. That title company knew Jeff well and highly recommended Jeff to me saying "he is one of the best (if not the best) in the State of Michigan. I called Jeff on the title company recommendation and Jeff immediately dropped everything and responded to our inquiry. He came the same day to evaluate the condo and start his market assessment. I was impressed with Jeff immediately. Jeff was "dead on" with his initial evaluation of the "fair market value of the home" and was honest about how to put it on the market at a "fair" price. Within hours of our initial conversation with Jeff he had come to me with comparable sales in the area validating the price he suggested we list the condo. I was so impressed with his expertise we listed the home with him. We did meet a couple of other realtors but ultimately selected Jeff. We received offers on the condo and we accepted the most qualified buyer at very, very close to the full asking price with ZERO contingencies. The sale was consummated and closed within a month. Jeff kept me up to date almost daily on any activity and the progress of showings of the condo and the ultimate sale. The sale was completed without one hitch. I am a senior executive in a major financial service firm in the USA. I have transacted numerous real estate purchases and sales in my past and I deal with numerous professionals in many fields. Jeff is one of the most professional and educated individuals I have ever had the honor of dealing with in his industry. He is the ultimate real estate professional. My wife and I had our aunt’s home to sell in Port Huron, Michigan, and move her into assisted living. This would be difficult, especially since we live in Orland Park, Illinois, 335 miles away from Port Huron. We’ve had some experience in buying and selling homes, but that was many years ago.
