Buying or selling a home can be a wonderful experience. It can also be incredibly stressful. Jess would like to think of her approach as one part therapist and one part personal coach, shepherding clients through this high-stakes emotional and financial roller coaster.
Choosing to work with Jess means that you’ll always have someone in your corner, ready to listen and provide steady counsel in challenging situations. Jess will point out risks, hazards, and resale considerations, help you visualize the awesome potential in some aesthetically underwhelming homes, and guide you in prepping your home to shine its brightest. And, most importantly, Jess will be your fiercest advocate every step of the way.
Whether home was a bus, a boat, or a bungalow, Jess has been passionate about housing her whole life. She called each of those home in different chapters of her life, but she spent most of her youth on an island in the Puget Sound. Jess spent a lot of time in marinas with her dad, often stumbling across “For Sale” signs in boat slips. Jess loved getting to tour the live-aboard boats, and getting to see how quirky and personalized the spaces felt. she is still fascinated by the idea of home, what it means to each of us, and the incredible value that getting to create one’s own sanctuary and sense of place can impart on a person’s life.
Jess has lived in Portland since 2004, except for a brief stint away in Corvallis to study trees and environmental justice, among other things. Jess spent most of her twenties living in different eastside neighborhoods and working in cool Portland restaurants, but always following the housing market as a hobby. It wasn’t until 2013, that she realized she could do real estate her own way, and finally got her license. Since then, Jess has been fortunate to get to work with hundreds of buyers and sellers across Portland and beyond, getting to share her own approach, enthusiasm and deep knowledge of this city.
Jess has built her business on referrals from past clients and word of mouth, so her clients mean everything to her. She strives to build long term relationships where she gets to be a part of your homeownership journey for years to come. Jess wants to be your resource and advisor, to hear about your remodel plans that are years in the making, and Jess swant to help your friends and family too.
When not combing the MLS for overlooked gems, you can find Jess at estate sales or the Japanese Garden, hiking, mountain biking, or eating all of the amazing vegan food Portland has to offer. Jess spends a lot of time scheming about the next fun house project, but her very favorite thing has got to be piling into our camper van and getting out of the city with her partner, Rob, and two dogs, Aster and Cosmo.
