Jim Ellis

The part of his job that Jim Ellis enjoys most is assisting his clients in not only finding their new home, but in also helping them settling into a new community--whether it be a recommendation for a doctor or dentist, or in finding a contractor or handyman. He makes sure to tell his clients that his job and their contact does not stop when they move into their new home. His professional experience over the last thirty-five plus years includes residential and commercial real estate, marriage and family counseling, financial planning and executive recruiting. It is interesting to note how each of these professional experiences assists him in relating to his clients’ emotional, financial, and real estate needs. He has always lived in the East Bay and moved to Orinda in 1991. He has been married since 1983 and has three sons. He received his bachelor’s from Berkeley, and master’s degrees in Real Estate and Financial Planning, as well as in Social Work. His community involvement has included coaching a variety of sports and since 1981 volunteering with a non-profit that works with hearing impaired infants and their families.
