Having been born and raised in Eugene, Joel is proud to serve the community of Portland and surrounding areas as a Native Oregonian. Schooled at the University of Oregon and the Universitaet Freiburg in Germany, Joel saw the changing world first hand as he witnessed the Reunification of the two Germanies in Berlin. Add to that the honor of being blessed by the Pope and the humor of being a 'Wheel of Fortune' contestant, and you've got quite a character. Joel has enjoyed being the featured Realtor on HGTV's "My First Place" for two episodes.
After college he saw life take him to the wonderful island of Maui, to the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, and, finally, to his future resting place: Portland. He truly loves it here. It is his home.
As a full-time Principal Broker Realtor, Joel is grateful for continually being in the Top 10% in sales for all Portland Metro Realtors. Memberships include: National Association of Realtors (NAR), Portland Metropolitan Association (PMAR), Oregon Association (OAR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). He is currently a Diamond-Platinum Member of The Masters Circle (top level), with his sales volume over $165,000,000 and counting and has been honored as a Portland Monthly 5-Star Realtor every year since the award's inception. Joel is a member of the Portland Area Business Association, Montavilla/East Tabor Business Association, Travel Portland, the U of O Alumni Association, Duck Athletic Fund, Screen Actors Guild. He happily supports Oregon Food Bank, Oregon Zoo, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, ACLU, Nature Conservancy, HRC, Sierra Club and Portland Rescue Mission.
