About John
John was born and raised in San Diego. The oldest of three brothers, John is the trailblazer of the family and likes to take the lead. He graduated in 1995 from California State University – Long Beach, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. After college, John went to work in the IT industry. After a successful stint at a large computer training company, he co-founded Copernicus Computer Services. Copernicus grew from a single office in Carlsbad with four employees to three offices, over 40 employees and over $3M in annual sales.
After eight years in the computer training business, John was looking to steer his career in a new direction. As much as he enjoyed corporate training, John found himself yearning for a new challenge. He watched Adam become a successful realtor and had always been interested in what he was doing. It didn’t take John long to realize that Real Estate was the place he wanted to be. John was always the type of person that lived for “the hunt” and being a realtor supplied a constant challenge. Whether it was collaborating with sellers to find the right buyer for their home or collaborating with buyers seeking that perfect home that fit all their needs, being in the real estate business was something that offered a great deal of satisfaction and a sense of achievement.
John met his wife, Jennifer, at a wedding in Pennsylvania back in 2000. After a long-distance relationship that spanned 3,000 miles and two years, John and Jennifer got married in Jennifer’s hometown of Nanuet, NY. Together, John and Jennifer feel blessed to have two beautiful children in Luke and Emma. Like Adam & Janice, they also live in the community of Rancho Penasquitos and are highly active in their community. Away from the office, John loves sports, classic cars, live music and spending time with friends and family. While in high school, John and his dad restored a 1966 Mustang, which led to the restoration of a ’65 convertible and a ’64-1/2 coupe. John has his sights on restoring another Mustang in the not-too-distant future. He also loves his Aztecs, Padres and Gulls. Like Adam, John also loves to get out on the golf course when time permits. He played competitively as a junior in San Diego Junior Golf and later for Bonita Vista High School. Like his brother, “Coach John” has been highly active in volunteering to coach local youth rec sports over the years. He managed his son’s little league baseball team since he was 6 years old and coached Luke and Emma’s soccer and basketball teams since they were wee little.
