John is a resident of Dedham, Massachusetts and a graduate of Tufts University where he received a BA in Economics. He began his career in real estate several years ago where he served as Principal Partner for Eastbrook Capital Partners, LLC, a real estate development/investment firm that he started. The firm was involved as an investor in the development, purchase, rehab and resale of single-family homes.
Previously, John was the Executive Vice President and Director of Craftmade International, Inc., a publicly held manufacturer, importer and wholesale distributor of lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, outdoor furniture and accessories. He was responsible for leading a team of employees domestically and in China to penetrate mass channels of distribution for the company’s product lines. Customers included Lowe’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Target, Menard’s and Builders Square. John led the sales, marketing, and product development efforts for the delivery of national product programs and marketing strategies to senior buyers.
Prior to Craftmade, John was a Principal and Executive Vice President at Trade Source International, Inc., (TSI) a manufacturer, importer and wholesale distributor of lighting fixtures and ceiling fan accessories. John and his partner established a Hong Kong office and warehouse operations in California. He was responsible for the sales and marketing of the company’s national product programs to senior buyers for the mass channels of distribution. With his partner, he was instrumental in the successful negotiation of the sale of TSI to Craftmade International.
Prior to his time at TSI, John was a Principal and Vice President of Regal-Lite Corporation in East Providence, Rhode Island where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of the company’s products to specialty retailers throughout the United States.
