About John

John & Shannon Dooley moved to Brunswick County from Pittsburgh, PA in 2016. They became fully licensed as Brokers/Realtors© in 2017 and The Dooley Group was formed that summer. Since then, the rest of their family has relocated to Brunswick County.

John is originally from Northern Virginia, and is the lead full time agent for The Dooley Group at Discover NC Homes and is licensed in SC as well with Anchor Realty. He is the forefront of The Dooley Group consistently interfacing with clients, managing their social media, and is readily available to assist.

Shannon is a California native and shifted to being a part time agent in 2018 as she is currently the Artist in Residence at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. She assists clients as needed and as her schedule allows for listing and buying. She is actively involved in marketing The Dooley Group, client relations and anything else John needs help with!

Their other trained profession is as professional Opera Singers (yes, really) and have performed everywhere from The Metropolitan Opera and Lincoln Center in New York City to The Cave Without a Name in Boerne, TX and everywhere else in between. John was even a soloist on a Grammy Award winning Best Opera recording! The Dooleys find that real estate is just as dramatic as the theater world but with fewer unsavory endings. They also enjoy gardening, cooking, and being mom and dad to their daughter and Russian Blue cats Nicholas & Simon.
