About John

As a former teacher, coach and educational leader I have always enjoyed working with people and enjoy doing so as Real Estate Agent. Early in my career, while teaching, I worked with a builder as a certified agent selling residential homes. Shortly after retiring from public education, I made the decision to return to real estate and became certified in Florida and Georgia. Desiring to remain in the Bartow community, I subsequently joined the H and H Real Estate firm.

Upon completion of my undergraduate program, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in banking. Like many other graduates, I began my career outside of my BA degree in public education. I became a teacher and coach at the high school level and returned to college at night and during the summer to complete a Master’s and Specialist degree. After seven years of teaching I became and administrator while taking on the challenge of completing my Education Doctorate at the University of South Carolina. Prior to retirement, I served as Superintendent of three different school systems in Georgia.

As and educator, I always placed my students first in the lessons I prepared and the administrative decisions I made. Student achievement improved for the students I taught and for the students I served as Superintendent. My most notable accomplishment was the exceptional growth in the graduation rate. The opportunity as a real estate agent provides the opportunity to continue working with people and remain a contributor to our community.
