Born and raised in Central Massachusetts, John Meunier moved to Boston’s South End after graduating from UMASS Amherst in 1982. In his early career, he spent several years working for the City of Boston, establishing HomeBase, a first-time home buyers assistance program and working in the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services. In 1994, John received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, and shortly after founded Cogent Research, a nationally recognized marketing research, and strategic communications firm. Nearly two decades later, Cogent was sold in 2016 to a private equity firm and John has returned to his lifelong passion for real estate and property development. As a real estate investor and sales agent, John leverages deep knowledge and understanding of Boston’s many neighborhoods, old and new alike. His long-standing connection to the city and personal experience in the real estate market gives him a unique ability to service both buyers and sellers of all kinds. John and his husband Jim Flanagan live in the South End with their two teenage children.
