As we all know, there's a lot of Realtor options out there, but something I've learned over the years is that there are shockingly few Realtors that are truly outstanding at what they do. So what makes a Realtor outstanding? Of course they must have a great deal of experience, a track record of success, good communication skills and a deep understanding your needs and wants and how to achieve them. But that's not all, a truly outstanding Realtor must have a tremendous depth of knowledge of the local area, communities, schools, traffic patterns, listing preparation and staging, valuation, finance, marketing and advertising, legal contracts, expert sales and negotiation skills, inspections and construction issues, contractor and project management, organization and time management skills and so much more! Well, no wonder there's a shortage of truly outstanding Realtors!
I grew up in our family real estate business in Canada before moving to north Atlanta in 2000. My Mother was a real estate broker, property manager and builder/developer. I spent my early years by her side attending property previews, open houses, showings, inspections, contractor meetings and even the odd closing! Later I worked part-time in property management during the school year and building homes and apartments during the summer months. I literally learned the real estate business from the ground up and have developed a great depth of knowledge in the process.
