We recently used John to purchase a home, and sell ours. John has proven to be nothing but professional, knowledgable, ethical - and kind. Buying and selling a home can be an extremely stressful process; it was a relief to know we had someone always at the ready with an answer, an encouragement, a clear path forward. We don't plan on moving for a good long while (sorry John!), but would wholeheartedly recommend John to others.

John is excellent. He is extremely knowledgeable about all things real estate and helped to point out a bunch of things I would have never noticed. He has a great work ethic, is honest, is always available to answer questions and generally just provided great service. John was recommended to me and I would recommend him to anyone, I can't think of anything he could have done better for us.

We chose John as our realtor over one of the better known, "name brand" realtors in the Grand Rapids area, and we were absolutely not disappointed. He came to the listing appointment incredibly well prepared, had some great suggestions on better staging the home and followed through on every commitment. Even more important, we had a full price offer the first day on the market and ended up selling the house for about $10k above list price. I know it's easy to be pleased with and recommend a realtor when you sell above list, but John was thorough, professional, accessible and generally pleasant to be around. I would highly recommend John and his team to anyone with real estate needs.

John guided us through the process of buying a new home. He took us on our first outing and it was immediately clear that he was very knowledgeable about the area and the business. He was courteous and patient and took notes on our preferences throughout. On the second outing it was obvious his time to get know our preferences paid off: he showed us several houses that fit exactly what we were looking for and that we would have been happy to purchase. We ended up getting a house that surpassed our expectations and fit within the budget we had given. We were very impressed with John and would highly recommend his services.

Each time his attention to detail and real estate knowledge sets him apart from other agents. No two real estate transactions are the same; John has the experience to make sure the best solutions are presented and accomplished. My family and I were referred to John by my sister. We met with several agents in the area, but decided that we were most confident that John would be the one who could sell our house. Sure enough, three days after being on the market we had three offers on the table, all for at or above list price!
We thought our house would have been on the market for a few months, like others in the neighborhood, and were shocked at how quickly it sold. Unfortunately, we were not prepared to be out of our house yet, as we hadn't even started looking at future homes.
John was confident that he could have us moved into a new home by our closing date. My husband and I doubted this, but sure enough, John helped us find our new home, and kept the paperwork running smoothly so we WERE able to close on both houses on the same day! I am not sure what we would have done without his help and guidance through both the selling and buying process.
John is extremely professional, and you can tell that he loves his job and takes it very seriously. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!
