Scott is a proud 53-year member of the Three Village Community having attended the Three Village School District and Stony Brook University. He is the broker owner of Shea & Sanders Real Estate and has been serving the real estate needs of the community for four decades.

He is active in the Civic Association, currently their acting treasurer, and The Three Village Chamber of Commerce. He currently sits on the Board of the Setauket Neighborhood House. He has previously sat on the Board of the Three Village Boys and Girls Club, Three Village Youth Lacrosse, the Three Village Little League, the Three Village Kiwanis Club as past president, the Patriot Pride Golf Outing and was a member of the Stony Brook Rotary Club.

Scott is a lifelong Patriot, residing in East Setauket with his wife Karen. His wife is the clinical coordinator for the department of cardiac surgery at Stony Brook Hospital and his son Scott is a recent graduate of St. John's University School of Law.
