Creative and quick- a miracle worker. John got us absolute top dollar for our home in no time flat. We had to net an exact amount to get our new home and it should have been impossible. John stepped into my very complicated situation, where I thought there was no hope for me. Going through a divorce, my ex suddenly getting fired from his job, and we had to sell the house quickly.

I had already moved out, and brought another realtor in to check things out but felt so much despair from the gloomy outlook on things. Knowing John through a mutual friend and connecting through them a few years ago, John reached out to offer a second opinion with no strings attached. He came in wanting to help see if we could get more of a profit out of the house.

John came through with infectious energy, seeing things in a completely different light, and though the complications didn’t even end at settlement— he kept his promise to me and stuck with it and supported me. Where do I even begin?

Short version: John is AMAZING & you need to hire him!

Long version: I honestly and truly do not believe we could have sold our home or maximized the current market without John’s help!

When we sold a property two years ago, John had reached out because he noticed we were sharing photos of it on our Facebook page. At that point we were already under contract with another realtor and I thanked him for reaching out. I remember being impressed that he took initiative to contact me after seeing the photos.

I started following him on social media and noticed that he seemed to be quite active in the industry and highlighting the properties he had for sale. He was sharing these listings from such a personable standpoint that it definitely piqued my curiosity. It was clear to see that he was definitely not the traditional realtor!

This year, my husband and I were considering making a big life change and moving to another state, but we couldn’t decide if we wanted to sell our house or rent it out. We crunched the numbers and it just seemed like maybe we should sit on it for a little bit. John scheduled a call and talk to us through all the the numbers and possibilities and made it clear that he would work with us to get the best situation possible - especially in this hot market!

One thing we were really concerned about was timing. My husband received a job offer and we had to act quickly to make the move. John assured us he would find out if it were possible to do the closing out of state. After a bit of research, he confirmed that we should be good to go and we moved confidently ahead into taking our next step.

As soon as we said the word, John worked quickly to get photos of the house and get it on the market - and within the first weekend we had several offers roll in. Within a few days we were under contract!

Everything seemed simple enough, but it seemed like our story was going to be one for the books. It was one hiccup after another, but John rose to each occasion and was in constant communication with us and the buyer’s agent.

Week after week, he patiently answered all of our questions and was available to touch base and get our feedback before moving forward with each step. I was so appreciative that he was there to talk through some of our concerns and frustrations, and also clearly communicate to the other side so that we could all be on the same page.

He even worked down-to-the-wire to sort out some things that were starting to fall through the cracks as we were getting close to settlement.

We were able to close two months after the initial offer was accepted, and thanks to John, we were able to walk away very close to our asking price!

We truly do not believe we could’ve done it without his help. His consistent communication, empathetic support & knowledgeable experience were integral to getting the deal done & we cannot recommend him enough!

Five stars does not begin to accurately represent his level of commitment and competency, but it will have to do.

During this crazy time in real estate, John helped show us many houses. As you know, with the market the way it is, houses are going to pending after only two days, so it is important to schedule showings day one on the market to be able to make offers quickly. John made every effort to make himself available around our schedule anytime we found a house that piqued our interest.

The last house we looked at didn’t have our financing listed as being accepted, so John reached out to see if they would be willing to accept USDA. He dropped what he was doing and showed us the house only 2 hrs later. We put in a strong offer. Upon his recommendation, we included a letter to the sellers. Out of seven offers on the table, we made it to the top two offers they were deciding between. The letter made the difference.

We cannot speak highly enough about the Andy Welk Team through Berkshire Hathaway! This was not an easy journey for our family- the search lasted a year and a half and Andy and John showed us somewhere between 40-50 homes. Over that year and a half, they remained patient, as our wants and desires in our dream home changed. I can’t say enough good things about John as a realtor to do him justice. When my husband and I decided we were ready to buy and researched realtors he was so highly rated and in demand.
