John Silvia

John A. Silvia has been practicing real estate for over 40 years. John has a degree in History and Secondary Education from Rhode Island College and a Masters degree in Education from Brown University. He and his wife Lisa Hassett live in Portsmouth, RI and have another residence in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Prior to entering real estate full time he was a teacher in the Providence School System. John holds a Broker Associate license both in Rhode Island and Florida. John served on the Rhode Island Real Estate Commission an advisory commission to the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulations. He plays golf at Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth and The Legacy Golf and Country Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He served as President of the Newport County Board of Realtors as well as being a past president of the Statewide Multiple Listing Service. He has served as an expert witness before Boards in Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth and Tiverton Rhode Island. Together with his assistants Phyllis Joslin and John Trifero, they strive to provide the highest level of service in addressing the wide range of Real Estate needs of people in their communities.
