About Jon
Jon Blinder is a Managing Director at Tucker Commercial, bringing more than 37 years of experience across commercial brokerage, development, and residential real estate. He is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and trusted commercial advisors in Nevada County.
From 2012 through 2025, prior to the launch of Tucker Commercial , Jon was with Coldwell Banker Commercial Grass Roots Realty, where he oversaw more than $200 million in commercial sales and leasing transactions on behalf of property owners, investors, and users across a broad range of asset types. During that period, the firm was recognized as Nevada County’s Best Commercial Real Estate Company in 11 of 13 years, as voted by readers of The Union.
Jon’s practice is built on long-term client relationships, repeat business, and a reputation for guiding complex transactions to successful outcomes. He is known for combining deep local market knowledge with disciplined execution, strong client advocacy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
A Nevada County resident since 1988, Jon has played a significant role in the region’s civic and cultural development. He was a founding member of both The Center for the Arts and the Nevada County Arts Council. In 2001–2002, he purchased, renovated, and donated the Center for the Arts facility to the organization and served as President of its Board from 2000 to 2008. He has also served as President of the Nevada County Arts Council, represented the arts community on the Nevada County Economic Resource Council since 2016, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Hospice of the Foothills, where he was honored with the Dame Cecily Award for his contributions.
Earlier in his career, prior to relocating to Nevada County, Jon owned and operated Washington Street Café and Catering, a wine bar and catering company in TriBeCa, New York City. Beginning with the 1980 Democratic National Convention, his firm grew into the second-largest private catering company in New York City.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington University in St. Louis. Outside of the office, he is an avid golfer and a devoted father and grandfather.
