Jonathon Hallberg

Jonathon is the Deputy Director of Economic Development for the City of Portage, Michigan. He has over 20 years of experience working for various Economic Development Agencies in Southern Illinois and the Detroit area. He also provided commercial real estate sales and leasing services with NAI Wisinski of West Michigan, as part of the Kalamazoo team from 2019-2022. Jonathon has conducted front line business attraction, foreign direct investment initiatives, grant writing, small business lending and has experience with incentives and marketing of industrial, retail, logistics, office and mixed-use projects. Moreover, he is part of a team that pools resources for community benefit to ensure projects cross the finish line faster and with the best possible outcome.
