Jorge Alonso's successful career in real estate is attributed to his understanding of the needs of his clients and his delivering the best service and market knowledge for the past 17 years in the South Florida market.

As a Miami Native, Jorge knows how to navigate through each neighborhood from South Miami to Fort Lauderdale. He has sold numerous properties from studios to historic homes such as 93 Palm Avenue that once belonged to Al Capone. He has also represented some of Miami Beach’s most recognizable properties such as One Ocean, Continuum, and in the Waverly where he has closed over 30 transactions.

As a former owner and Broker of a well-known real estate boutique firm, Jorge has mastered how to connect with Agents, Buyers, and Sellers to negotiate and achieve the best possible outcome on each transaction. He has been with Douglas Elliman since 2011 where he has continued to create excellence in guiding customers to their new homes using his marketing strengths and Elliman’s worldwide system platform.

Jorge attended the University of Maryland and started working in media sales at The Washington Post during his senior year. After spending many years at The Post, he then moved into radio sales for Viacom and Bonneville where he was the General Sales Manager for local stations in Washington, DC. He was also the General Manager of Telemundo/Washington, DC at the age of 30, which made him the youngest GM at that time in the industry. The skills and strategies he learned while working for these Fortune 500 companies help naturally transition him to real estate.

He began investing in properties at the age of 22 when he purchased his first condominium in Georgetown, Washington, DC. Investing still remains a passion.

Jorge is an avid traveler and can be found skiing in Aspen or in the Hamptons, networking with other industry colleagues, and consistently growing his global contact base.

Jorge is bilingual in English/Spanish and slowly working on a third language. He is very involved with the arts, dog charities, and with the Make-a-Wish Foundation. When Jorge is not working, he is spending time at home with his lifelong partner and their 5 dogs.
