Josh Sloan

Josh obtained his real estate license in 2023 and works both as an agent as well as for the City of Decatur. Josh is a motivated professional, detail-minded, and enjoys helping others to achieve their goals. Josh looks forward to the opportunity to interact with and meet new people.

Josh has always had an interest in real estate, but his passion to help others lead him to a fun-filled and rewarding career in Law Enforcement. Josh specializes in Community Policing, Crime Prevention through Environmental Design, Special Weapons and Tactics, Zoning, Property Maintenance and Housing. Josh was awarded "Officer of the Year" in 2015 for his exceptional work in securing a security grant for the Decatur Housing Authority. For nearly 2 decades Josh has had the honor to serve the Decatur community in many capacities. Josh currently works in the Community Development and Planning Department as a Code Official and serves as vice president for the North Alabama Code Officials. Josh's decorated experiences as a law enforcement officer and leader will serve him well in real estate. Josh believes that building relationships by treating others as you want to be treated leads to success.

Josh has been married to his wife, Courtney, since 2006 and they have two amazing kids, Jessica and Zach. Josh and Courtney are members of First Bible Church and greatly enjoy volunteering their time in the children's ministry. Josh is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. In his off time you can find Josh with his family and dogs at the campground, on the hiking trail, or kayaking.
