Being a first time home buyer is stressful. Attempting that feat from across the country, even more so. JR and his team at Three Lion Homes of Compass made that process easy and, dare I say, enjoyable. From start to finish, JR was available without hesitation to answer every question and concern, no matter how menial. With JR's help, we were able to sort through 50+ listings before finding the one that was right for us.

As I mentioned, the majority of the process was done remotely. JR took the time to discuss properties via telephone and conduct virtual viewings. Once we decided to make an offer, JR took the time to conduct follow-up appointments and visits to our new home. JR's stellar customer service and workmanship did not end once the ink dried. JR has still made himself available and continues to be our go to guy post closing.

Long story longer, JR treated our home buying journey and our new home as if it was his own. We couldn't ask for anything more.

Where do I start? We contacted JR after seeing all the wonderful feedback from his previous clients. He listened to our wants and needs and found us our forever home.

When we closed on the home, we had some hiccups, and JR was quick to remedy the situation (even though he didn’t have too).

I've known JR for several years. When we decided to sell our tenant occupied townhouse we knew it would be a challenge and that he would be the best agent on our side to get us what we needed and in our timeframe. For us, we knew we needed our home to be vacant to sell for the best price. He worked tirelessly to help our tenants find another property showing them several homes until they found the one that would work for them. It was then a quick turn around to get our place ready for the market. Based on his recommendations of things to freshen up and update, he wanted to make sure to help us get the best return on our money spent in getting the home market ready.

He put our home in coming soon status and before we even hit the market we had several buyers interested and a few offers in hand. We decided to still go on the market to get the best price and terms and the day we went live we had several showings and received the offer that we were looking for to meet our goals. JR sold our home in less than 3 weeks and 15k over ask even in this market where interest rates have increased significantly.

I've known JR personally for about 7 years now and I can speak to his knowledge, experience, and determination to help his clients and their satisfaction. I've been an office colleague, teammate, and now client of JRs and we are grateful to have chosen him to be on our side through this stressful and emotional life event. He was always there to update us, comfort our concerns, and fight hard for us.

Jovan Ruzic exceeded my expectations. Let me tell you as a first time home seller and second time home buyer I didnt know what to expect and how I was going to manage the two processes without getting overwhelmed. However Jovan walked in and took care of business, and handled everything like a breeze. He was very kind and considerate , very knowledgeable about real estate and pretty savy too! He kept me informed every stepof the way. He is a true professional and went above and beyond to ensure I got a good deal in both buying and selling. It was a one stop shop for me. Not all realtors are created equal! This was my first-time homebuying experience and I had no idea what to expect--just that it could be a challenging process due to the way the market has been. At the very beginning of the process, my lender suggested I work with a realtor affiliated with them. The agent they hooked me up with suggested some nice properties, but she wasn't responsive. I stumbled upon JR by chance and decided to work with him instead, especially when it became clear that he possessed a huge knowledge of the area, land contracts, etc... Working with a really good realtor is so important, but it seems especially important in the DMV where real estate is so complicated. Going home shopping with JR was like going to hang out with a friend for half a day. He always accommodated my schedule, never made me feel pressured to put an offer in on something, and even stuck with me when I flip-flopped on some properties here and there. I always felt informed and comfortable with asking questions. He really went up to bat for me at the end when my lender messed up some paperwork, making closing a bit of a nightmare. His company is very appropriately named--JR is definitely a lion and will remain with you until the end... and then some by reaching out to make sure you got into your home okay! Will definitely work with JR in the future and recommend him to any of my friends in the area who are looking for a reputable agent.

Working with JR was fun. As a first-time home buyer we asked a ton of questions. Through very clear and quick answers, JR provided us with extremely useful information. He even responded to our questions on the weekends. He went beyond what we expected from a real-estate agent.

JR worked with my wife and I twice: to buy our first home in Washington, D.C., and to help us buy our dream home and rent out our place to a great tenant! I sold my condo and purchased a new condo with Jovan Ruzic. My condos are both located in the Logan’s Circle neighborhood of Washington DC. COVID has made the DC condo market challenging, but Jovan managed to get us under contract for more than what I originally paid for it a couple years ago and he negotiated a credit for closing costs for the new home I purchased. We had to navigate some challenging inspection and contract issues, and all the while he remained a level headed professional and ensured that both deals went smoothly and advantageously for me. I would absolutely recommend working with him, especially if you are interested in buying and selling a condo in DC (again- a challenging market right now!). He is trustworthy and a great advocate for his clients- I would definitely recommend.

Jovan Ruzic knows his craft. My husband and I wanted to sell our family home after owning it for 25+ years. His discerning eye noted things that needed to be updated and changed; things we did not see because we saw the house with our heart and memories. His listing of our home on “Coming Soon” had offers before it became live. With COVID concerns, Jovan had booties, gloves, and hand sanitizers ready…though we did not need them for long. He attended all inspections and closings even with the restrictions. I highly recommend his real estate services!

JR is the best realtor I’ve worked with and he got me the best deals considering my situation.

He became my realtor after I fired my previous one and he stepped into a very sticky deal. When I hired him, I was not the easiest client, yet JR did everything he could to make me feel as if I was his only client and as if we’d been lifelong friends.

Even though he didn’t have to, he fought long and hard to get me every penny I deserved from my previous deal which had fallen through. Ive had a rough time as a first time home seller, but in the end, JR came through with the home run to win the game!

He even took time out of his day, twice, to include his evening family time, to meet me at my house. He helped move my refrigerator and to remove a piece of equipment for me.
