Joy Axelson

Joy Axelson has over 16 years of real estate experience and owns her own real estate company in Northbrook. In 2015, she became the CEO and designated managing broker of this boutique brokerage. A native of the area, she specializes in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago (especially Northbrook, Glenview, and Arlington Heights). She holds a B.A. in French from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), an Illinois state teaching certificate, and an M.A. in French from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Joy is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a short-sale/foreclosure resource (SFR) and holds the GRI designation. Joy likes working with international clients and speaks French and Spanish fluently. One thing that sets Joy apart is her uncompromising ethics. She never represents the buyer and seller on the same transaction and always does what is in the best interest of her clients, even at her own expense. She has experience counseling clients and knows that moving can be a stressful time. With her extensive network of tradespeople and professionals, Joy makes real estate transitions smooth. She accurately prices home, pays for a free staging consultation, and provides professional photography so your home sells quickly. She is an expert negotiator and perseveres to get her buyers what they want. In her spare time, Joy hangs out with her husband and two kids and enjoys traveling.
