About Joy

Joy Pharr loves Cleveland County! She grew up in a real estate family here in Shelby. Her mother is Jeri Horn, who owned Coldwell Banker Horn and Associates until her retirement in 2006. She has taught her so much about our community and what people really want in a real estate agent. She graduated from NC State in 1991 with a degree in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management. She moved back to Shelby to develop and build Charlie Horse Farm. An equine competition training and boarding facility. She trained horses and riders at all levels, from beginners to Olympic quality horses. She enjoyed helping them develop and reach their goals in dressage, cross country jumping and show jumping. Key to her success was matching good horses with good riders. Today as a real estate professional, she finds this same formula to be true for her buyers and sellers. It is all about finding the right FIT and needs for the clients. From the Countryside to the City to beautiful Lake Moss and beyond, she will help you find the right FIT! From helping you find raw land and developing it into your dreams, just she likes she did with Charlie Horse Farm.
