Joyce Lowry

Joyce is dedicated to fostering connections and helping others grow, whether through education or real estate. A newly returned resident of McMinnville, Joyce has found her true home in this vibrant community.

After retiring from a fulfilling career in education, Joyce transitioned to real estate with Baker Street Real Estate in 2025. Joyce loves the strong sense of community in McMinnville, which aligns perfectly with her commitment to making a positive impact wherever she goes.

Before entering real estate, Joyce’s career was rooted in education. Most recently, she served as the High School Librarian at Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan, where she thrived in a dynamic and supportive military base community. Her role went beyond traditional library duties, as she had the opportunity to chaperone the Kubasaki High School JROTC Drill Team to nationals in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, Joyce worked as a librarian in the McMinnville School District, introducing young readers to the world of books and igniting their imaginations. She was instrumental in bringing the Oregon Battle of the Books program to the district, a highlight of her efforts to foster literacy and teamwork among students.

Joyce’s teaching career began in Montana, where she worked as an elementary school teacher from 1983 to 1999. Passionate about igniting a love of learning in young minds, she worked with 2nd and 5th graders, nurturing their curiosity and creativity. Her dedication to providing unique learning experiences led her to create an overnight outdoor school program for 150 fifth graders. With her broad experience in education and her deep connection to the McMinnville community, Joyce now brings her commitment to service and personal connection to her role as a real estate broker, continuing to help others find their place in the world.
