About Julie
Julie Sasso, Associate Broker, brings an eclectic set of skills to real estate sales, skills that enable her to serve her clients extremely well. She has worked in both the human services and the business sector and she enjoys harnessing her myriad professional skills to aid clients in navigating every aspect of their real estate transactions. Since becoming a Realtor, Julie has been committed to educating herself and has earned her ASP (Accredited Staging Professional) and CBR (Certified Buyer Representative) credentials as well becoming licensed as an Associate Broker.
Julie grew up in the western part of the Capital Region. She received her B.A. from Smith College in 1992 and her Masters of Social Work from SUNY Albany in 1996. During her tenure as a social worker, she worked with a wide range of clients – from children at risk of being placed in foster care to individuals incarcerated at the Albany County Jail to adults struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. After leaving social work, and spending several years home raising her young children (and helping Patrick manage his real estate business), Julie returned to the work force first as the Director of Youth Employment Services for the Town of Bethlehem and later as a consultant at Reach Advisors, a strategy and research firm based in Glenmont, NY.
Julie served on the Bethlehem Town Board from 2014-2017 and was the Deputy Supervisor in 2016 and 2017. During her tenure she also served on the Board of Directors of the Bethlehem Youth Court and as a member of the Delaware Avenue Improvement Group. She is currently the volunteer committee chair for the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy's ART (Art on the Rail Trail) project, which is successfully bringing art installations to the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail. Julie also serves on the Board of Directors of the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce.
Like Patrick, Julie enjoys running, reading, and hiking with the family. She also enjoys taking walks with the family’s dog, gardening, and baking bread from scratch.
