About June
Growing up in the Pioneer Valley foothills of northern Connecticut, June spent spring vacations with friends on Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, and Nantucket and enjoyed the area’s natural beauty, vast deserted beaches, and relaxed pace of life.
After earning a BS in business management and accounting at American International College, June envisioned renting a beach cottage and spending some time on Martha’s Vineyard before heading off to graduate school. As with many who sojourn on the island, however, it was hard to say goodbye, and in 1976, Martha’s Vineyard became her new home. She worked in business management positions, specializing in marketing and sales, before joining the Martha’s Vineyard Commission (MVC), the island’s regional planning agency. Enabled by special legislation from the Massachusetts General Court, the MVC helps oversee the island’s transportation, economic development, environment, land use, and community development. June’s six years at the MVC was an invaluable immersion course in all areas of land use and development in every island town, giving her first-hand exposure to and experience with land regulations, town officials, and problem-solving challenges.
In the early 1980s, June joined Woodchips Designers in Vineyard Haven, where she spent four years in sales and marketing for an island firm with an international reputation for its silk-screened canvas textiles. It was also a time of personal growth, as she married and welcomed the first of her three children.
The start of her new family brought another opportunity for change: the island’s growing real estate market. The chance to manage her business pursuits working alongside other like-minded professionals was an appealing complement to her island lifestyle. After earning her real estate sales agent license in 1985, June directed her island savvy and considerable sales skills toward Martha’s Vineyard real estate and subsequently obtained a real estate broker’s license. June worked with Coldwell Banker Landmarks Real Estate before joining Viewpoints Real Estate in Vineyard Haven in 2010.
June enjoys meeting new people and utilizing her business abilities and island expertise to assist buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants with property sales and vacation rentals. Her decades of experience and familiarity with the intricacies of Martha’s Vineyard provide a strong foundation for her outstanding professional service with integrity, attention to detail, and the highest level of customer satisfaction.
June loves tennis, swimming, sailing, biking, a touch of golf, and the great and wonderful outdoors – no matter what the weather!
