Kaera Mims

As a self-proclaimed REALTOR-nerd, education is important to Kaéra, whether it is "alphabet soup" after her name with multiple earned designations or educating fellow REALTORS.

Real estate was not a childhood dream, but now with more than 20 years in the real estate industry, she cannot imagine a greater way to help her local community. Licensed since 2006, Kaéra has experience with first-time home buyers, estates, military relocation, new construction, property management, all types of sellers, all types of buyers and more from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach and every locality in between. She takes a “team” approach as she educates her clients and provides resources throughout the process realizing she brings the expertise and experience while helping her clients make the final decisions.

While she counts it as “normal,” Kaéra's attention to detail, a combination of technology, and systems producing exceeded expectations from her clients are what create her success which is solely from repeat clients and referrals.

With many years in the industry, Kaéra is always excited at the chance to give back. She is proud to be a 2019 Virginia Realtors Leadership Academy Graduate as well as a member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and Women’s Council of REALTORS. She has also taken on numerous leadership positions within the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors (VPAR) and the Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR), serving as the 2022 President of VPAR and currently serving the 5th year on the VAR Board of Directors, respectively. Balancing out her volunteer duties, she has served on the Coventry PTA Executive Committee as Recording Secretary, has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for years, is a consistent contributor to the Children’s Hospital of King’s Daughters and is a member of the Grafton High School PTA/Booster Club.
