About Karen

As a native of Ohio, Karen’s love for the mountains and the slower pace of life drove her decision to settle in East Tennessee upon receiving a B.S. degree in Office Administration and Business at Milligan College.

Her work history at only three employers since reflects longevity, loyalty and dedication. Experience in accounts payable and customer service assisted in molding her perfectly to land, most recently, in the field of Community Association Management.

Karen has been managing Community Associations for 8 years and is a member of the Community Association Institute (CAI), an international organization developed for the betterment, education and support of community association managers. Through CAI, she has earned two certifications…CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist). Continuing education classes maintain those certifications and assist her in keeping up with the ever-changing needs of this field.

Realizing there is a great need in this area, her desire is to serve her region by assisting and educating board members in the day-to-day operations of Homeowner/Community Associations. Her education and experience qualify her for assisting the boards with every aspect of operating these non-profit organizations such as budgeting (short and long-term), maintenance and governance according to the Master Deed and By-Laws.

Karen’s knowledge of Homeowner Associations also lends well with being a REALTOR. Who better to serve your needs in buying and selling homes in a Homeowner Association than an agent with professional experience in the field?

Outside of work, you will find her participating in family and church events. She loves her fur-babies and would probably have at least twenty dogs if she could. She serves her Lord by playing the piano at church and holding the church treasurer position.
