About Kari

Originally from Michigan, Kari has been happily married since 1986. She and her husband have three wonderful boys in their thirties. Kari understands why people want to buy in this area, and claims "I’m a Yankee Rose who caught the Gulf Coast bug—and caught it bad. Everyone wants a slice of paradise!"

Kari has real life experience from buying and selling many personal properties that she has lived in and then used those to build a cumulative portfolio of eight rentals that have been both vacation and annual rentals. She strongly relates with the feelings of home buyers and sellers because she has been both many, many times.

Kari prides herself on being able to see potential and opportunity where other people simply cannot. She has had to renovate, redesign, and redecorate almost every property she has owned, and has put sweat into her home equity, and a lot of it. Those experiences have emboldened her as a realtor. She loves being able to use her vision to help inspire buyers to see homes instead of houses.

Aside from the design and potential of properties, Kari can also relate with diverse customers because she is a well-traveled and cultured person. She has lived in France and frequently travels with her husband, visiting places as far-flung as Placencia, Belize or Zaragoza, Spain.

Kari is also tenacious and resourceful. When she renovated a kitchen in Michigan, she was confronted with a potentially expensive obstacle (needed tile to repair where a wall had previously stood but could not find anything that matched the existing tile.) If she had re-tiled the whole kitchen, it would have pushed the project behind schedule and over budget. Instead, she gently removed only the tiles that were to line the perimeter of the large island being built, then used those tiles for the spaces where the wall had been. She ended up creating an original mosaic border around the island-- saving both time and money, and now the mosaic is the highlight of the kitchen.
