Professional Background
Upon graduation from Graduate School Karin was employed at The Kennedy- Kreiger Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital as a social worker and then director of the Out-Patient department. In 1971 she became the Executive Director of the State Developmental Disabilities Council, responsible for establishing statewide programs for the handicapped. In 1979, after her first child was born she "retired" from full time work and became a consultant to the Federal and State governments concerning service development to the disabled. In 1984 she became a full-time realtor using her administrative and leadership skills to develop a successful independent business.
