About Katherine
Let her share with you a quick story...
Back on November 14th, 2008, Katherine knew she wanted to buy, but did not know for sure where.
She was looking everywhere in between Issaquah and Marysville.
Yes, that is a LOT of ground to cover. She put a lot of thought into it… And decided Mukilteo, WA would be a good move because of the proximity to freeways, the beach, the ferry, and Puget Sound.
She picked the beautiful and desirable Harbour Pointe neighborhood, which is great for walks in the summertime, nice and close to restaurants, grocery stores, banks, doctors/dentists, and more.
But it was not that simple.
Katherine wrote an offer for her dream condo. It got accepted, and she was on cloud nine.
After a couple of weeks, she got a call from her lender who was kind of a robot and did not know how to break this gently to her.
“Katherine, you are not going to qualify. Your ratios are all out of whack.” (Or something like that).
Maybe this would not be a big deal to everyone. But she was barely even licensed as an agent, and she had never bought before.
She did not know what this process was like. It hit her like a ton of bricks.
To add to this… the phone call was as she was on her way into meet her brother’s new girlfriend (they are married now).
It was a pretty awkward first meeting...
She was holding back tears. She hated everyone and everything in sight.
They are okay now, and she thinks she has forgiven her for being a little stand-offish! But guess what? It was not the end of the world.
Katherine did not end up buying that one, but she found a slightly smaller and less expensive condo in the same building.
She is happy in it.
It was a great first purchase, and in hindsight, she would not have it any other way.
She knew she wanted to buy because she wanted her payments to go toward her equity. She wanted to be able to paint her walls, switch out light fixtures, and overall, make it her own. She loves the idea of one day having her condo paid off, earning rental income, and getting a tax write-off while she is at it.
She loves real estate… she loves owning it… And she will love helping you with your next move!!!
Katherine is a REALTOR with KW Western Realty. She has successfully assisted home buyers and home sellers with their real estate transactions since 2008. She got an early start in the real estate industry and has big plans for the future.
Every June, she is the sponsor of an alumni softball game, benefiting The Big Deep Breath Foundation, established in 2010 through Ashley Aven's tragic losing battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
Katherine contributes much of her success to her wonderful office staff, support, title/escrow team, and mortgage partners. It takes a village!
Katherine is a lifelong resident of Snohomish County. She bought her first property in 2009 in Mukilteo, and with her husband they own another property in Lake Stevens, plus two more in Wisconsin. She has a brother in Utah who is also a licensed real estate agent. While Katherine is not working, she enjoys friends, family, cooking, shopping, and time on Lake Stevens. Oh…also changing up her hairstyles.
