If your looking for an agent that has your best interests in mind I highly recommend Kathy Damewood and her team. My family has a eleven year history with Kathy. She sold my parents home in 2003. It had been on the market for quite some time. When the listing expired my parents called Kathy, she had the home sold in short order in the price range they had hoped for. In the end the successful sale boiled down to a strategic marketing plan and Kathy's perseverance. My parents thought the world of Kathy. In early 2012, I and my better half decided we would move back to Florida to lend my parents a hand. We were in the process of preparing our existing home for listing and were not ready to buy, so I didn't want to waste Kathy's time with a lot of questions. Kathy set us up to view her listings database in Florida so we could get an idea of what we could expect in our price range. Her website provided us with regular updates on new listings and price reductions of previous listings. This is where Kathy's integrity became very apparent. When we were getting close to putting our house on the market I started looking for a real estate agent in our area. It had been a long time since I sold or purchased property, I quickly realized that I didn't know what kind of credentials I should be looking for. I emailed Kathy to see if she had any reference material that would help me in selecting an agent in our home town. Kathy called and said she'd be glad to help. In less than 24 hours I not only had a list of credentials, I had a list of agents names within a few miles of our home, their credentials, their individual sales volumes and their contact information. I was thrilled, what a time saver. I chose the agent at the top of Kathy's list. She was a jewel. We listed our home with her. The house was one of several in our neighborhood that had been on the market for a while. We had a full price no contingency offer in the first 24 hours. We closed in under 30 days and headed South. When we arrived in Florida, we had already contacted Kathy and provided her with our price range and a list of needs, wants and nice to haves. She and her team had a list of homes for us to look through. One of her team members took us to several homes in the area. We made a choice. Kathy and her team helped negotiate a fair offer and again we closed in less than 30 days. Recently my elderly father elected to sell his home and asked if we'd manage the sale and of course Kathy Damewood was our first choice. As before, she laid out her business plan and marketing strategy. She defined a price range that made sense and she had a network that got the word out. We closed the sale this week.
