Not in my wildest dreams did I ever envision myself as a real estate professional. After raising two children, I found myself asking, "What next?" After much encouragement from my husband, I obtained my real estate sales license and have never looked back. Prior to real estate, I was a preschool assistant teacher for 13 years and one of my greatest joys was building relationships with the students along with their families. I was reluctant to leave that position because I didn't want the relationship building to end. However, I found that in real estate, it doesn't have to end! Nothing thrills me more than getting to know clients and assisting them in one of the most important financial decisions they'll make in their entire lives. I was born and raised in Lafayette and know the area well. I've been married for over 35 years to my teenage sweetheart, and we have one married daughter and a married son. We have 3 perfect grandsons and a beautiful foster granddaughter. My husband and recently sold our home that we had built 5 years ago, and that experience has allowed us to relate better to all our clients and can share in the excitement and angst selling and buying can sometimes bring. In the past, I taught children's Sunday school, served as clerk, coordinated Sunday morning Welcome Team, and was involved in the mentoring program at our church. I currently serve on the Lafayette Regional Association of Realtors Board of Directors, New Member REALTOR Orientation Committee and Lafayette Realtors Community Outreach Committee. In the community I serve at Food Finders Fresh Market Pantry. I have served at Digby House, served meals at Lafayette Urban Ministry, volunteered at Lafayette Transitional Housing, and Team Shook Women Build for Habitat for Humanity. I am a graduate of the Indiana Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. I also have my Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation, which helps me better serve our 50+ market. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, Purdue sports, hiking, and reading.
