About Kathy

Kathy Shea is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a BSN in Nursing. She moved to Northern VA when she graduated. Kathy worked with the Fairfax County Health Dept for 5 years and then pursued a career in real estate, which is her true love. She spent her childhood and teen years in Texas as her father was a Dupont engineer. Kathy has always enjoyed ice skating, walking daily, and shopping. She loves dogs and she has had a dog most of her life until now as her Golden passed away a year ago, and she is still missing him. Kathy's husband is a real estate appraiser, and her two children are married, her daughter and son-in-law live in Great Falls with a spoiled German Shepherd and her son lives in NYC with his wife and she has two granddaughters, who is 4 years old and another who is 1 year old.

Kathy's past real estate experience includes working as a realtor in Great Falls, Fairfax as an assistant manager to a large office, and as a recruiter for the state of VA under the RVP of Weichert. She has been a managing broker for KWR in Great Falls for 3 years, and Kathy's true passion is helping people sell their homes or buy a new home. She has new home experience as she worked with a builder in Occoquan for 5 years. She has experience selling new homes so when you look at new homes, take Kathy with you so she can represent you as the builder represents their interests, not yours.

She has worked with NV Homes and Toll Brothers in the luxury market. Kathy's passion is working with buyers and sellers whether they are downsizing for retirement or moving up to their next home or dream home and she makes it a memorable fun experience. She has wonderful negotiation skills and Kathy's list price to sales price exceeds 100%. She has worked in relocation with employees from Exxon Mobil and other large companies relocating. Kathy is a certified Relocation Specialist with Weichert. Kathy has her ABR designation, and SRES designation and is a Certified Luxury Specialist.
