I can't say enough good things about Katie. We interviewed several agents, but we knew right away that she was the right one for us. I could go on about her knowledge of the Takoma Park market, her attention to detail, her contacts, and her optimistic determination. But the thing that makes Katie stand out is the fact that she helped us manage the entire process, from beginning to end, including the move. She understands that buying and selling houses is not just a business transaction. It is a major life event filled with emotion and apprehension. It has been several months since we sold our home in Takoma Park and left the area and she still keeps in touch. When you enlist Katie, you get more than a top notch real estate agent. We want to commend and recommend Katie Bocock of Compass Realty for her extraordinary work in the recent sale of our home and our search for a new place in which to downsize.
While there is now much real estate advertising regarding sales of your home by companies emphasizing no up front requirements, there remains a large benefit in using a traditional, but modern, real estate agent like Katie.

She has all the capabilities regarding quick and efficient sales because of her extensive access to a network of potential buyers and properties nationwide. She utilizes all modern technologies regarding marketing, including virtual and promotional abilities. But, on top of that, Katie provides substantial services beyond the sales process. There can be a myriad of personal activities needed to help buyers and sellers successfully complete a real estate transaction.

Katie embodies all of the above. She works tirelessly and positively to handle every little issue that needs addressing, whether selling, buying or moving.

In our situation, Katie engaged Compass' systems and network of agents in assessing the sales viability, pricing and logistics of selling our 135 year old house in Potomac, MD. Her assessment was precise and, with her network of colleagues, a buyer was found in days, at the price she suggested.

While that was worth the use of Katie's assessment and skills in itself, the real work from Katie continued for the next six weeks. She provided constant advice and physical help in organizing the logistics involved in moving 35 years of life from having lived in the home. She searched diligently and successfully to find our new house in Silver Spring, MD. Throughout the whole downsizing process, Katie reviewed and helped with the technical sales process and, on a moment's, notice provided whatever logistical assistance was needed - at any time of the week or day.

Katie was great, really made the whole process of buying my first condo much easier and hassle-free than I ever imagined. She managed everything very professionally, from finding me high quality properties to view, to helping me get through all the various inspections and documents throughout the process. She also regularly provided explanations and instructions that were helpful and clarifying without being too technical, and was quick to respond to my many questions. I also appreciated her style, which was there to help and do the appropriate things at appropriate times without being too pushy. An excellent experience overall, would totally recommend her to any prospective home buyers.

First, I want to say that Katie is just a wonderful human being.

From the beginning of our conversations, Katie was prompt in setting up a time to meet. She asked not only about my preferences for house hunting, but also got to know me as a person. She not only provided great insight regarding Maryland neighborhoods as I'm new to Maryland, it was also clear that she has been in the field long enough to be an expert.

She was early to make sure the house was ready to view, she was very knowledgeable of things to consider in a house, brought much of wisdom when bidding for the house, was personable and directed conversations that led me to winning the bid on my home on the first try in this crazy market!

I've moved quite a bit, purchased a few homes in the past and I can say full-heartedly that Katie is truly one of the best out there. Even though I've known Katie only two months during the home-buying process, she has made me feel like she was taking care of one of her friends.

I highly recommend using Katie as your realtor!

Katie was wonderful in helping us negotiate the purchase of our new home. Her advice regarding how we structured our offer in this hot real estate market allowed us to win the home we loved. She always went the extra mile in whatever way she could to help us and always made time for every question or request. She also assisted us with fixing up, staging and selling our current home, and we were able to sell it very quickly. Katie is wonderful to work with. She took time to understand our home buying strategy / needs, and was mindful of those needs throughout the search process. Aside from taking the time to understand our family, Katie also did a great job pushing us week in / out when we were getting house hunting fatigue (the market is CRAZY right now and we were pretty dejected after a few "losses"). Upon inheriting the job of Executor to my Mother's estate, I consulted with Katie on steps to take to liquidate her real-estate holdings. Katie's knowledge and expertise were right on point on how to proceed, what to expect, and the measures I would need to undertake to accomplish the daunting tasks ahead of me. Not only did she sell all of the properties in a timely and professional fashion, she went far above and beyond her duties as a Realtor. Katie's personal touch was very much appreciated as she did A LOT of hand holding throughout the difficult and emotional task of liquidating my mother's estate, attending to our family's grieving process, and providing the gentle nudges needed sometimes to push me through a task I did not want to do or to meet a deadline. If that were not enough, on many occasions, I would find Katie weeding the garden of a property, cleaning out a cupboard before a showing, or hauling a load of donations to a local charity. Katie's behind the scenes efforts were exemplary. She was always able find the right contractor, handyman, or professional to attend to whatever the property needed. Her wealth of knowledge, and seemingly endless pool of resources, were invaluable to the process of liquidating the Estate. On top of all this, Katie was able to manage multiple tough negotiations with transparency, navigate our family dynamics (often with opposing opinions), as well as remaining collaborative throughout the entire selling process. Like many people, I had no experience in dealing with the overwhelming duties as Executor of an Estate, and without Katie I would have been really lost. Not only do I appreciate all the work she did for my family, I found that her style, a perfect balance of professionalism (organization, efficiency, detail oriented) and personal touch, to be absolutely essential and the exact prescription needed. Katie recently helped us find and purchase our first home and was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the whole process. She was responsive and easy to communicate with, always ready and willing to show us houses, took COVID-19 precautions to keep us all healthy, wrote offers very quickly, and maintained good relationships with our lender and sellers' agents to keep everyone in the loop.
