About Kenneth

Ken Dooley, one of Chicago’s most sought-after real estate professionals, is consistently ranked among the top 1% of Brokers for closed transactions by the Chicago Association of Realtors. Ken represents clients throughout the city and suburbs, tapping into offices located in the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Bucktown, River North, Arlington Heights, Hinsdale, and Winnetka.

A native of Ireland, Ken received a degree in business and finance from Trinity College, Dublin. Ken spent several years in the English and Irish Banking industry prior to immigrating to Chicago in 1994. Ken leveraged his banking experience and education into a position within the Chicago Mercantile Exchange; a six-year career that ultimately saw Ken working in the Eurodollar Options trading pit.

In 2000 Ken made the transition into real estate – a move bolstered by his considerable finance experience. Ken began as an agent with Century 21 Sussex & Reilly and worked with Sean Conlon, one of the founding partners of CONLON: A Real Estate Company – which has now become part of Real Estate.

Experience matters. Ken’s proficiency in stable and volatile markets has enabled him to keep deals on track and allow his clients to make confident decisions from to close. Real estate marketing has changed significantly over the past few years and Ken has been at the forefront of this transition. He

has embraced social media and incorporated custom property and neighborhood videos to increase exposure and to appeal to the sophisticated and constantly connected buyers of today.

In the span of Ken’s 19-year career, he has proven himself an exemplary and effective professional. He has personally negotiated over 600 contracts amounting to more than $250 million in real estate transactions, which has gained him recognition in the industry. Ken interprets market data, staying in constant communication and offering valuable insight that then translates into an informed decision. He remains in contact with his clients long after a transaction, keeping them abreast of the market and their investment.

Ken is one of a select few brokers in the US to earn the CIPS designation, which allows Ken to educate and assist foreign clients to navigate the US market, as well as tap into the global market through his international network of brokers.

Ken enjoys exploring the many neighborhoods of the city and suburbs with his wife and three children. He has completed two Chicago Marathons, enjoys photography, and is an avid cyclist. Ken remains a lifelong Rugby fan and enjoys following and supporting the local Chicago sports teams.
