Kira Govshtein, the owner of the real estate firm Metropolitan Realty, has more than 20 years of experience assisting buyers and sellers of real property in the Portland metropolitan area, Vancouver and beyond.
Kira has experience in a wide variety of transactions beyond the sale of primary residences, including sales of new construction, vacation homes, rental property, condominiums, and land. She also has considerable experience in the area of short sales and pre-foreclosures. Kira has a wide range of professional contacts in the community who can help her clients to prepare the homes they are selling, to improve the homes they have bought, and to assist in the rental of investment property.
Kira came to Portland in 1990 from Riga, Latvia, in the former Soviet Union, where she earned a master’s degree in finance and economics at Latvian State University. Kira worked as a Financial Analyst and Assistant Controller in Riga Latvia and for First Portland Leasing Corporation in Portland, Oregon for more than ten years before beginning her career in real estate. She uses her strong financial background to assure that her clients understand the financial aspects of their transactions. She even works to educate the community more broadly through her articles in a local newspaper.
Selling real estate is not a job for her — it is a calling. She brings to assisting her client’s enormous enthusiasm, a true work ethic and professionalism. She really understands the meaning of the American dream and has a passion for helping others to make their dreams come true.
When she is not selling real estate, she loves to travel, read, and dance.
