A Maryland native and longtime Washington, D.C. resident, Kris Nelson has called the nation’s capital home for more than 20 years. With over a decade of experience in real estate, he has guided clients across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia through one of life’s most significant milestones: buying or selling a home.
Before entering real estate, Kris worked in education, an experience that shaped his thoughtful, step-by-step approach to guiding clients through the buying and selling process. He later earned an MBA with a marketing focus from the University of Maryland, College Park, honing skills in negotiation, strategy, and the development of client-centered partnerships.
Kris spent eight successful years at Compass, where he strengthened his expertise and built trusted relationships within the industry. In 2025, he joined Washington Fine Properties alongside Daryl Judy—an opportunity that allows him to offer clients an elevated real estate experience backed by one of the most respected boutique firms in the region. Outside of real estate, Kris enjoys cooking, gardening, and playing saxophone in local community groups. He and his partner, Dennis, live with their two dogs, Ellie and Winston, in D.C.’s Shepherd Park neighborhood.
