About Kristi

Like so many who visit southeast Maine, hike, and bike Acadia, sail the waters off MDI, and wish they lived there, Kristi Jacoby is making it a reality. Now, she shares her genuine enthusiasm for the area when collaborating with buyers and sellers of exceptional real estate on Mount Desert Island, the Blue Hill Peninsula, and the Schoodic Shore.

Managing luxury Superyachts globally for 15 years combined with ten years in arts and nonprofit management in Chicago, provided an excellent foundation for the nuances of island brokerage. Kristi genuinely appreciates the diversity of working with year-round and seasonal clients from diverse backgrounds, generations, and budgets all with the common love of Maine. By building sincere relationships and considerate negotiating, she realized $5.5m in residential and commercial sales in 2018.

Currently, she enjoys being a board member at Camp Beech Cliff, a parent volunteer for The Community School, and an enthusiastic supporter of their daughter’s love to be on stage with Acadia Community Theatre.
With her husband Chad Thieken, Captain of 180’ SY Marie and global sales representative for Dykstra Naval Architects, Kristi feels lucky to live the way life should be with her family, and her dog, here on MDI.
