Kyle Watkins, born in Mansfield, Ohio, attended Madison Local Schools and joined the high school’s business program. He connected with the Business Professionals of America (BPA) and learned the ‘ins and outs’ of the business world in America.
A few months from graduation, he joined the newly constructed Ontario Buckeye Carwash and quickly found himself at the top by winning December’s Top Sales Award, beating out more experienced and senior employees.
Kyle remarked, “What seems to most people as another run-of-the-mill service job, I saw it as an opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in business classes - as well as vast online learning - to the real world.” Kyle’s hunger to always be the best and having a friendly sales-focused attitude, that the customers resonate with, helped build trust and rapport.
Continuing his career desire for business management, Kyle enrolled into Bowling Green State University’s MBA program. During winter break as he had returned to help, Buckeye Carwash reached back out to Kyle to have him solve a problem. Their newly opened Ashland location was severely under-performing, and they knew his stark work ethic, friendly attitude, and proven track record would make it a success. To focus on the carwash, he put schooling on hold. Through inevitable growing pains, Kyle was quickly able to turn the Ashland store around by increasing profitability, improving memberships and strengthening employee morale. Kyle began training employees at old and new sites hoping to replicate the success he had found at the Ashland store.
Being a people centric person, who thrives off the success and good will of others, Kyle always knew he would get into the role of a Real Estate Agent. What started as an administrative assistant in early 2021 with Haring Realty, Kyle quickly escalated to an inside sales associate and client concierge.
“The most important concepts I learned in my previous position, that were paramount to a successful operation, were learned at the ground level,” Kyle stated. “And I have made it my goal to replicate this for the real estate industry, applying those successes in the office at Haring Realty.”
