I found Laura Kaplan via social media when I was considering an out of state move. I interviewed multiple agents, and like dating, I just felt like Laura was “the one”. She was a fellow mom living in West Chester who understood the current market and what a young family was looking for. I wanted a professional with a lot of experience in West Chester that was down to earth, friendly, and felt like a friend and therapist all wrapped up into one, not a stuffy salesperson in a suit just trying to sell me any old house. This was my forever home and I had a big list of “musts” during a very difficult sellers market. Laura never complained, even when I texted her late at night in desperation, and she never gave up on finding us what we wanted. Her strategy got our first offer accepted against 10 other offers including a cash offer and made sure all the details (bank appraisal, etc) were correctly handled. She was with us every step of the way until closing day and remains a close friend to this day.

My husband Nate and I had been in the market for over a year and after working our way through multiple realtors we finally found Laura. You can tell the difference between someone who does their job and someone who loves their job and Laura is the latter. Her goal isn’t to sell you a house, but find you a home. When we started working with Laura she took the time to sit with us for over an hour and discuss what kind of community we were looking for, our price range, things that were important to us - she took the time to listen and didn’t flood us with a portal of homes telling us to “pick the ones we wanted to see.” When we finally decided on a home she was with us every step of the way, attending viewings, negotiating on our behalf, and helping us through the first time home buying process. What’s amazing about working with Laura is that she has a network of people just like her that will provide an equal level of service. She connected us with an inspection service, a mortgage broker, and an insurance broker who all represented what was best for US! She is only a text or phone call away and we never had a moment where we weren’t covered with her or her extended network. From our first meeting to signing day where she brought us a gift and bottle of champagne we could not have enjoyed working with someone more than Laura and recommend her without any reservation for any of your real estate needs!

Besides being an awesome realtor, Laura is a wonderful human being. I share this because real estate is a tough profession and finding someone who is dedicated, smart, knows the markets and is ethical is not always an easy combination to find. Laura was not only our realtor but she was our neighbor for years. She is an incredibly positive person, driven and hardworking. She was always accessible and willing to answer a question; I was always surprised how fast she would answer! It made me wonder if she works 24/7! The sale of our home was very personal but we never hesitated to trust her and knew we were in the best hands. Laura is the best! She is responsive, always willing to answer a question, and finds the time for you. She takes away a lot of the stress in the process because you know she's organized and is on top of it. She is incredibly knowledgeable about West Chester and the surrounding area. Laura Kaplan is the only realtor we will ever use! When our tenants of four years gave their notice, my husband and I made the decision to sell. We know A LOT of people in real estate...but we knew right away that we wanted Laura to list our house. My spouse and I worked with Laura to purchase a home for my parents to enjoy their retirement in and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! As first time homebuyers, we were extremely nervous about the process and had no idea what to expect, but things went far more smoothly than I thought they would. It was a bit difficult for us as we live in NYC and didn’t know the area well, and because my parents are moving from upstate New York, 7 hours away — they had lots of preferences, but it was hard for them to come down to look at houses. We ended up only going to a couple of places before finding a place they’re absolutely thrilled with.

After that, it was just a matter of making sure everything took place according to schedule and Laura was great at ensuring things were on track. She is an excellent communicator and was always available by text, phone, or email and was able to allay so many of our concerns. My wife and I were recently in the market for a new house in the West Chester area. We needed a realtor to represent us so that we could buy a new house and sell our former house in Delaware County. Our first question as we began the process...who was going to represent us as our realtor? We couldn't simply pick any realtor, this was one of the biggest financial transactions of our life. We needed to do our homework and select somebody with stellar reviews. Like many of you reading this, we searched the internet and our research led us to Laura Kaplan. Let me tell you, the reviews do not lie...she is truly the best person for the job. From the very first e-mail that I sent her all the way through to the end, she was prompt, responsive, pleasant, patient and professional.

Navigating the hot West Chester market as buyers in 2019 is not an easy task, but with Laura by your side you will not go wrong. When Laura represented us as buyers, she advised us of many tips and tricks to create a winning bid offer. She knows the real estate market and current home value trends very well. Laura is very ethical in her business practices and she consistently reminded us that she works for "us"...not the sellers.

When it came time for Laura to represent us as sellers (we sold our old house after buying our new house), we experienced two of her greatest traits...her marketing abilities and negotiation skills. She provided us with a professional staging session, a professional listing photo session, a Youtube video showcasing our home, and a few other tricks to help maximize our profit. When it came time to negotiate the inspections process during our home sale, Laura was patient and persistent in protecting our bottom line. Our house ended up selling in 4 days for over asking price with multiple offers. We closed the deal in 30 days. This would not have been possible without Laura's marketing and negotiation skills. She simply crushes the competition and makes all other listings look Like child's play.
