I first worked with Laurie when I was planning a move to
Bellingham from the east coast. On my first ever visit to Bellingham I spent a week with Laurie looking at houses. By the time I left I was familiar with the neighborhoods and felt comfortable that Laurie had a good understanding of what I was looking for, comfortable enough that we were able to complete the purchase of a home we loved, sight unseen. Laurie (and Dan, remotely) were in frequent contact and provided expert guidance through the process of offers and negotiations in a competitive market, overcoming obstacles and steering us away from unwise choices. When the time came two years later to sell that house, Laurie and Dan again handled every detail beautifully, from knowledge of the market and setting the optimal asking price to preparing the home for sale, even arranging the rehoming of furniture we had to leave behind and making sure the garden was watered. Responsiveness and communication was outstanding, and due to their skill and knowledge we were able to obtain a sale price significantly above asking. We have bought and sold several properties, and can say without reservation that working with Laurie has been the very best real estate experience of our lives.
