About Lynn

Spanning five generations, back to the founding of the city, there are no other realtors with deeper local roots. Lynn’s surname even represents the M street in the “alphabet” district of Portland. The name is no coincidence; it was Lynn’s great-great-great grandfather, an esteemed riverboat navigator of the Willamette and Columbia rivers, after whom the now charming street was named. Family lore even claims that it was a Marshall who flipped the coin which decided the city’s name. Fast-forward to modern Portland and the Marshall thumbprint can be seen on many of its most prestigious developments like Forest Heights, Claremont, Charbonneau, and the many custom-built homes over the NW Hills.

Lynn has worked side-by-side with her father, developer George Marshall, by marketing and selling those diverse homes throughout the Portland metropolitan area. Not only was Lynn “forged” in the real estate world while growing up, but she also faced trial by fire immediately upon graduating from the University of Oregon when she provided critical aid to her father in developing the Charbonneau community in the mid-eighties. With interest rates as high as 19%, it provided an incredible challenge for Lynn. The negotiating and critical thinking skills she picked up from that initial experience created a purposeful broker and launched her into a productive career.

Lynn has now been serving her clients for decades, and during that time, she sold hundreds of homes. She’s primarily built her network by referral, the hardest-earned compliment a broker can receive. However, she also capitalized on keen digital marketing techniques since its advent. Her long history in new construction distinguishes Lynn. She can advise her clients on costs associated with all the financial decisions made throughout the real estate transaction.
