About Lyssa
Lyssa is a Realtor, Registered Nurse (35+ years), and a Senior Real Estate specialist (SRES®).
Moving is a very emotional ordeal; it can take a physiological & psychological toll on anyone. Keeping you or your loved ones safe and in good health is a priority. Lyssa is a dedicated professional in both real estate and elder needs to ensure a seamless process when considering a move.
Lyssa is experienced in Real Estate and the needs and challenges of the 55+ age group. She is the single point of contact when thinking about moving. Lyssa works with a team of top professionals dedicated to this industry to enhance those services. Lyssa will get you or your loved one in a new home safely and tailored to their individual needs.
Even if you and your loved one are not ready to make a change yet but are looking for some adaptations or suggestions to age in place, Lyssa's extensive medical background is also a valuable resource.
She also specializes in helping first time homeowners. Lyssa conducts regular training seminars for new home buyers. Her job is done when you walk through the door of your prospective home and a light bulb goes off and you say, “This is what I want I want, and this is the price I will pay!”
Lyssa has an affinity for the elders and is rooted in the desire to help others. She knows Real Estate and understands the needs of the aging population. She lives in both worlds, nursing, and real estate. For years Lyssa has been told that these are 2 different worlds. Lyssa doesn’t see it that way the elderly and their children deserve someone who they trust and can handle physical and emotional challenges that can happen when moving.
She has always loved being around older people ever since she was young. Lyssa would always go to her Nonna’s house just to hang out with her. She loved the way she cooked and her home was so comfortable. They had a very special bond. She lived to the age of 92 at home with family surrounding her. Now 40 years later, she is cared for by her elderly mother at home with services to keep both of them happy and comfortable at home. Both instances have provided her with an infinity for caring for the elderly, launching her nursing career. As a Realtor, Lyssa sees the stresses that family and senior parents go through with moving. The financial, logistical, and emotional issues involved are overwhelming at any age.
She loves talking with seniors and learning their stories. She enjoys taking the time to get to know the clients and families' situations. Seeing a smile on their faces and knowing she had something to do with it is the best feeling in the world. Selling a seniors home can be more complicated, there are a number of unique issues and tough decisions with a number of different people involved.
Lyssa is the thread that ties everything together and help guide and protect her clients through the process.
