The daughter of a former real estate agent and interior designer, Mackenzie grew up in Massachusetts on Cape Cod. She moved to Washington, DC to attend Georgetown University on a full scholarship. She not only fell in love with the District but became committed to getting to know every neighborhood and soaking up all the amazing history our nation’s capital has to offer. After college, she lived in Arlington and Bethesda as well as several DC neighborhoods including Adams Morgan, U Street, and H Street Corridors, and Capitol Hill before moving out to Falls Church and finally settling in Great Falls with her husband (an Arlington native), their daughter and dog.
In addition to her undergraduate degree from Georgetown, she also has an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. When Mackenzie is not hiking Difficult Run, kayaking the Potomac River, or riding her Peloton, she is spending time with her beautiful 3-year-old daughter, gardening with her husband, or volunteering with her dog Liberty Belle at Children’s National.
