At the age of 20, Marcello and his father started what eventually grew into a successful Italian bakery in Cliffside Park New Jersey. Dino’s Bakery, affectionately named after Marcello’s father, soon became a staple in the community and a favorite among locals. After the impressive reviews, no easy feat in that neighborhood, Marcello saw the potential in authentic home style cooking and set his sights around areas where food of this quality would be harder to come by. Dino’s Bakery's reputation reached far beyond this area as well, due in large part to Marcello setting out at 6 am every weekend, traveling to flea markets in areas such as south jersey and Pennsylvania where locals who came to know him and his product waited on line just to get a homemade focaccia pizza or jar of marinated mushrooms before he sold out. Unfortunately, that year there was a fire that destroyed everything he and his father had built. With his recent engagement and wedding to his childhood sweetheart shortly following, he knew that he needed to make a decision on his future plans.
Marcello began real estate at REMAX and quickly realized that his knack for turning nothing into something went far beyond the bakery realm. While hustling for clients and their basic transactions of purchasing and selling homes, he realized the potential real estate could offer someone that had the means to research properties and find deals not available to the average person. This began his process of buying and selling homes. After about 2 years, a business associate noticed his strong work ethic and determination and proposed they open a REMAX satellite office together. This partnership proved highly successful and together they discovered their niche, purchasing foreclosed properties at sheriff sales where they would rehab homes to sell for a generous profit. Soon enough, their expertise and trained eye led them into even bigger and successful projects that involved purchasing and owning strip malls, buying land and developing numerous houses on the single lots. Most recently, Marcello built an 8-unit apartment building with plans for 3 similar buildings in desirable areas set for demolition. He currently has 12 projects planned for completion by 2018.
After 5 successful years of owning the REMAX office, Marcello set his sights on bigger plans…starting up his own real estate company and branding this company, Venture VR Realtors, into a top agency. Venture Realtors is Marcello’s pride and joy as evidenced by the successful staff and top agents employed at Venture looking to find a spot amongst it all. Over his career, Marcello has been involved in worth over $200 million real estate transactions, has overseen hundreds of remodeling jobs, and has contributed to the design and architecture, and construction on numerous projects. It is his ability to persevere in the face of adversity, his commitment to perfection, the ability to find a balance between work and a home life that he enjoys with that same childhood sweetheart and 3 beautiful kids, and his loyalty that has ultimately given Marcello the staying power in an industry normally built around a revolving door.
