Originally from Maine, Marci McFarland understands the special nature of living and working in communities that successfully blend the needs of its year-round residents with those of its seasonal population. Shortly after she discovered the Gulf Coast Area in the 1980s, Marci decided to make Sarasota her second home, and in 2007, she realized her dream of relocating here year-round to raise her two children and begin her real estate career. Over the past 15 years she has specialized in residential property sales where she has consistently and successfully assisted her many clients in achieving their goals and realizing their dreams.
After receiving her master’s degree in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill, Marci went on to pursue her public health career in Maine, Boston, New York, and Delaware. In addition to serving as the director of planning and marketing for a health care system in Maine and working for a large architectural firm in Boston as the director of marketing, she provided consulting services to hospitals, non-profit organizations, and environmental groups. Her background also involved various aspects of real estate, including marketing, research, strategic planning, and negotiation, all of which have enhanced her ability to attain positive results for her clients. Her consulting experience shaped how she views her relationships with both buyers and sellers – as a partnership where she serves as a seasoned guide with in-depth knowledge of the area, extensive resources and well-honed skills required to ensure a successful outcome.
